yeah! blogger's back to normal. I think i am going to have to choose between ntu and smu. ... Most likely ntu though....
Some points i took down at the smu talk:
Flexible and full of opportunities.
- able to sequence the courses in whatever order you wish -after yr 1, u bid for courses u want -can do multiple internships -modified term intership (yr3) -internship at an accounting firm when it is at its busy quater -treated like a staff member -done close to graduation
Double Degree - may apply for it at the end of yr1/2 -cumulative GPA of 3.4 and above -at least an A grade for certain "qualifying courses" -may take 1 to 2 terms more
-2nd Major do not have GPA requirement
The session was good cos the alumni and undergrad were very good speakers...
Ntu Hi-tea session
The session i went to was much better than the one in the following week. so ya. the alumni (Mr Fonzarelli Ong) was sick so they got an undergrad to speak to us. A not bad speaker actually. The addressing talk was by Prof Choo Teck Min, Associate Dean(acc). I was informative. managed to grasp some info that i didn't hear before at the suntec talk.
After that was the tea session. Sat at a table with min li and this prof that teaches tax law. ok session. she was quite honest in answering our questions. When she didn't know the ans, she told us honestly.
Then the tour of the sch. GREAT air-con hostel.
Many will ask me why i am more inclined towards accepting ntu acc. I think cos I think that smu acc requires me to keep handing in GREAT work... to have all the opportunities.... And I really think that ntu's degree is more recognised.
